Oakdene Coops is a small business run by myself , Ben Grist. I started in June 2007, with the intention of making chicken coops which would happily grace the pages of Country Living Magazine. My aim has always been to design coops  which look great aesthetically, provide the perfect home for your chickens, and are also very easy to clean and maintain.

 The build quality of Oakdene Coops is exceptional. This has been a major focus - from the initial design process through to the choice of timber, screws and paint. Our coops are not thrown together using cheap materials. Instead we have sourced high quality timber, fittings from a specialist and chicken-friendly paint from Cuprinol™. An Oakdene coop is built to last.

I am currently working full time to expand Oakdene Coops to its maximum potential. I have recently expanded my workshop and taken on more employees to help keep the waiting list below three weeks.

I have designed a self-assembly version of our most popular coop. It has been carefully designed not to intrude on the aesthetics of the current model. The runs are also getting a make-over - giving you the option of having them as a stand alone run, and allowing you to change the size of the run, all without tools!

These new and exciting models will be available in November 2008!
